Energy Management System Request for Information (RFI)

Why?

A fully electric mine will incorporate a range of electric and battery-operated equipment, creating a different load profile from a conventional diesel-powered mine.  Electricity supply for the mine will see new renewable energy sources gradually displace fossil fuel sources.

An Energy Management System (EMS) will give operators visibility into the status and performance of their energy networks, including the status of battery electric vehicle fleets.  In addition, the EMS will be capable of controlling the energy network components including adjusting and scheduling loads to match renewable energy and stored energy supplies.

What?

The EMC is requesting information from technology vendors who have a system that is adaptable for use in a future electric mine.

Selected EMS systems may get be trialed at an EMC member site and learnings will be shared within the EMC to facilitate further engagement between suppliers and potential customers.

How can you get involved?

The RFI submission closing date is 5pm, 5 December 2022 (AWST).

There will be an information session available to the public on 15 November 2022 (AWST). Details can be found here: https://www.trybooking.com/CDPGB

Shortlisting and further engagement with suppliers will take place shortly after the closing date.
